AT&T Byron Nelson Prop Bets
Jordan Spieth is grabbing all the attention this week and starts the week as the prohibitive favourite since he is a member of the course and the highest-ranked player in the field. Beau Hossler, however, is also a member and is enjoying a terrific rookie season on the PGA Tour. The youngster is on a run of six consecutive made cuts, amongst that run was his agonising runner-up finish in Houston.
To go along with the advantage he has of being a member of Trinity Forest, Hossler’s game looks in excellent shape. He finished third in Strokes Gained-Tee to Green last week at Sawgrass and only a rare poor week on the greens prevented him from contending.
Hossler ranks 11th in Ball Striking and 22nd in Strokes Gained-Around the Green over his previous 12 rounds. Areas which should prove crucial at Trinity Forest. His price continues to drop as the week progresses, but there is still value to be had, and he looks a good price to finish inside the Top-10 on his home course.
It’s been a poor season thus far for Kevin Na. A runner-up finish at the Genesis is all he’s had to shout about but Trinity Forest could be a good fit for the Las Vegas resident.
If as we are being led to believe that short game skills will be vital this week then Na has that department covered. The American ranks fifth in Strokes Gained-Short Game over his past 12 rounds, and he is 11th this season for Scrambling.
With Trinity Forest expected to suit all types of players, the short hitter Na should be able to make hay and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a good week against what is a very weak field.
Top 10 – Beau Hossler 10/3
Top 20 – Kevin Na 5/2
