2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM PGA OAD Picks

It was a wild and entertaining week at the Waste Management Open. JJ Spaun withdrew which took Rob’s pick out for the week, but he still sits in 2nd place. Jesse and Bubba both had Tony Finau who choked down the stretch on Friday to miss the cut as well. Jesse is still in 1st while Bubba sits in 4th still after back to back week’s with missed cuts. Kevin was the only one to make it to the weekend with Zach Johnson who birdied 18 on Sunday to make the cut. He made the cut, but didn’t have a huge weekend finishing T57.

Now we head to Pebble Beach for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. The tournament takes place on 3 courses for the first 3 days, then after the Saturday cut the play Sunday at Pebble Beach. It’s a beautiful venue, a really talented field and some entertaining celebrities. There are some of the usual suspects that thrive at this tournament and some first timers like Rory McIlroy. Let’s see who the guys like this week in the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM PGA OAD Picks.

@bdentrek- Well, it’s been a rough couple weeks for me in the OAD. It’s time to get back on course with a tournament I am very familiar with. I am gonna go with a golfer who was outstanding last week in Phoenix, where he only had 3 bogey or worse holes. His short game was outstanding and that will definitely be needed in this tournament. He has made 18 of 21 cuts at this event, with 9 Top 10’s and 4 wins. It’s a guy that I am usually very opposed to targeting, but I am taking him this week. This week, my 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM PGA OAD pick with be Phil Mickelson.

@DFSGolfgods- Two straight weeks of wasting guys on missed cuts is enough to make ya sick. This week I’m going with the best golfer in the field strategy again. Dustin Johnson is the pick. He has the course history and form to win here. I need a win, so that’s it.

@Kevinsdelight

Another week another cut made right on the number. ZJ drilled a 21 foot putt to play the weekend at Waste Management where he proceeded to miss 4 footer after 4 footer. But it was another cut made and $$$ in the bank. The made cut and ZJ selection helped avoid land mines like Spaun and Hideki’s WD’s and Spieth’s MC. So not all was lost.

Now to Pebble where I still need a high finish to make a big jump. I’ll pass on big names I still have available like Spieth, DJ, Day, Rahm, and Phil. All of whom could easily win this week. I’ll save those guys for a late run or bigger events. Instead I’m going with a guy who has made the cut here the last 3 years and only 3 years he’s pegged it here. Shane Lowry T14(2017), T41(2016), and T21(2015). I’ll throw a dart here and hope for a Top-10 from the Irishman. The Irish have had success at this event including the US Open here.

Best of luck to all.

@AllDayEvery365-

Patrick Reed – Spaun’s mysterious injury WD from the WMO sets us back, but we come back with a guy who isn’t going to be highly owned in Reed. I’ve never been a huge fan of Reed as he never seems to win the big tournament, but he does have a good track record here at the Pro AM. His approach game is back after a rough 2017, he found out how to putt again, and his off-the-tee weakness this season will be hidden with the three shorter tracks. He will be around on Sunday and I think he can make a push after his recent form
