2018 Corales Puntacana & Club Championship PGA DFS Preview

Hello Degens.  If you are here reading this, then you are a Degen.  On a week where we can bet March Madness and a WGC match play event, why not also bet what is essentially a web.com event in the Dominican Republic. The Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship will take place this week as a standard 4 day stroke play event with standard top 70 and ties cut.  The course is right on the coast and plays 7668 yards at a par 72.  Obviously, it is long but it is also wide open with smaller greens.  This is the first time the PGA tour has been here, but the web.com tour has held an event at this course the last 2 years.  Dominic Bozzelli won the first tourney in 2016 and Nate Lashley was the 2017 champ.

I’m not going to hammer this too much, but I will be playing the event.  I think ownership will be like Euro events on DK with super chalky guys who have name recognition and good recent form. So, my purpose here will be to try and throw out some guys who I think will be lower owned.  I’m going to fade most of the guys up top and make more balanced lineups in hopes that 6/6 is low.

Trey Mullinax $8,800 – He probably won’t go unnoticed/low owned, but that is fine.  This price is very good for him, so I will eat the chalk here.

Seungsu Han $8,500 – Who? Yeah, I don’t know either, but he is coming off a 13th in Qatar and a 27th in Abu Dhabi.

Adam Schenk $7,500 – This price is way to low for a guy who finished 12th here last year and has made 2 straight cuts on the PGA Tour.

Tom Lovelady $7,300 – He is a bomber who should succeed at this course.

Keith Mitchell $7,500 – see description above.

Kelly Kraft $8,600 – 3 straight cuts made on tour which include a top 10.  Price is too low.

Abraham Ancer $7,900 – 41st here last year but made 5 of 6 cuts on tour.

Stephen Jaeger $7,400 – Shot 62 here in 2016, which is tied for the course record.

So that is all I got going on for this week.  Per the usual hit me up with any questions on the Twitter.  I’ve got some picks out for the Match Play event too, so check that if you are reading this before Wednesday AM.
