The guys are back with their weekly PGA OAD picks for this weeks Farmers Insurance Open. Last week, Jesse picked Jon Rahm at the CareerBuilder Challenge and…….he won. In doing so, Jesse take a commanding lead through three weeks of the 2018 PGA Tour season. This week we head to Torrey Pines, where we play 2 courses on Thursday and Friday before playing only the South Course on the weekend. The guys have been very good so far when it comes to picking players that make the cut, but guys like Bubba seem to pick players that don’t make much money. This week the guys pick four different players, so lets see who the guys like for the 2018 Farmers Insurance OAD Picks.
|Last Week’s Earnings||$27,189||$27,189||$1,062,000||$27,189|
|Last Week’s Player||Webb Simpson||Webb Simpson||Jon Rahm||Chez Reavie|
|This Week’s Pick||Brandt Snedeker||Tony Finau||Rickie Fowler||Brian Harman|
@KevinsDelight- Webb Simpson made the CUT last week for me after a MC at Sony with Henley, so back on the positive side of things. Now I need a win or a really high showing in the next few weeks. The West Coast has been very kind to Brandt Snedeker throughout his Professional career. Sneds has won at Torrey as well as Pebble, not to mention some very high finishes out west. So without much hesitation I’ve selected Brandt…Here is why:
I love Sneds here even with a MC in 2014 and a MC last week at CareerBuilder. Sneds did improve after each round last week. Round 1 72, Round 2 71, and Round 3 67. Another small nugget that may or may not hold weight: The last 7 winners of Farmers Insurance Open started on the tougher of the 2 courses, The South. Sneds with a decent 1st round Thursday gets a chance to go low Friday!!!
Best of luck this week! As always let me know if you have any questions.
@AllDayEvery365– Tony Finau – Length and CH will be well served with Finau. He’s going to be on the chalkier side especially after his fourth place finish last year, but it’s the tournament that might fit him the best. With the increased purse (up a million bucks since last week), Finau’s potential at a track that screams T2G accuracy makes him my play for the week.
@DFSGolfGods– Fresh off a win at the CareerBuilder I finally have some life in these OADs. Rahm was low owned enough for me to make a huge leap up the leaderboard. I’m going right back to the strategy of picking the best player possible in the field. That would be Rahm if I didn’t use him up last week, so this week I’m going Rickie Fowler. I think a lot of people will see his 3 straight made cuts and fade him. I’m chalking that up to a ridiculous schedule in years past where he was traveling to California after playing in the Middle East the weekend before. I think a lot of people will go with Rose and he would be much higher on my list if he wasn’t one of those globe travelers. So Rickie it is. Good luck this week!
@bdentrek– Yet another week with a player making the cut, and yet another weekend or Sunday where they went away from making decent money. Chez Reavie was playing really well last week, flirting with a Top 10 at one point, and then he disappeared. This week I will go to another hot golfer, one that many have already used in their OAD picks. I will be using a golfer who was T20 last week and prior to that was T4/3/T4/8. He has been feeling it. When it comes to this tournament he has played well also. He is 4 for 5 at making the cut and had a T9 last year. He is one of the hottest players on tour and I am hoping he has one more hot week in him. I will be playing Brian Harman.
