Federated Auto Parts 400
.75 Mile track
400 laps for 300 Miles
Fuel Window 125-135 Laps
Dominator points: 200 fast laps 100 laps led for 300 total
Fanduel 40 laps completed and 40 laps led 80 total
Hard track to pass and inside is the preferred lane, last year tires made a difference.
Second chase race and last try to lock yourself into the next round prior to the roval which is a crap shoot for everyone. Only guy I feel comfortable playing next week is MTJ
*** Stats are calculated from the last 4 races ***
My rank in Parentheses per group and these are my thoughts. Tech will determine a lot of plays if you fail once you lose your spot and go to the rear.
Kevin Harvick (1) sitting on the pole with the best car all year lock him in and let it ride. He doesn’t have the best numbers here of the big 3, but I will take the track position and the best pit stall. He does have the best average finish of the big 3 in the last 4 at 7.5.
MTJ (2) is the Pivot from Harvick, starting 3rd I love the play the team showed speed last week and was the dominate car. He has 512 laps led and 210 fast laps in the last four here at Richmond.
Kyle Busch (3) has been struggling as of late, this is a JGR track so I can see him easily winning this thing. He offers the best upside of the big 3. His average finish here is 8.8. was fast in practice but im possibly fading this play all together.
Other top plays
Denny Hamlin (1) this is the hometown track for Hamlin. His average finish of 3.0 is the best over the last four. He also has 254 laps led and 120 fast laps in those four. Another pivot from the big 3 that could do some damage starting 2nd
Brad Keselowski (2) Hes on fire to quote NBA Jam. Won the last 3 races without dominating any of them. Hes averaged a 6.3 finish and 119 laps led and 162 fast lasp in the last four starting 8th also offers some small PD.
Clint Bowyer (3) offers great upside starting 25th he loves this track and has been good on flat short tracks this year he won Martinsville. He has also been part of the most dominate team of the year with SHR.has led 45 laps and has 38 fast laps in the last four here.
Other guys I like this week
AJ Allmendinger (2) Showed some speed in practice on the 10 lap average, and normally does well on flat tracks by taking care of his breaks he starts 30th and has an average finish of 27.5
Ty Dillon (1) Starts 31st and has an average finish here of 22.7 and RCR has shown speed as of late which makes him a viable punt.
This a tough category without knowing what happens with tech. but my initial gut calls.
