Season Record: 33-35-4 (-5.23u)
Winnipeg Jets reg (-130), is my favourite play on the card today. The jets as mentioned before are one of the hottest teams in the league at home, as they now hold a 8-1-1 home record. They square off against a hot-sabres team, a team who has won 4 of their last 5 games. Beating opponents like the Lightning, Canucks, Canadiens, and Senators. You may be thinking that this is a variable to look at, the recent form of the Sabres, and to consider that Brossoit is in net. Although he is in net, rossoit has been impressive, going 3-0-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .957 SV% in his first three starts with the Jets. These are stellar numbers for a back-up goalie, and giving him a start at home, will give him an extra boost of confidence as he will have the home town support. Although Brossoit has played Detroit, Arizona, and Carolina, he held his ground against each of those teams, he has gotten the necessary goal support from the jets to win. The Jets have scored, 3/5/2 goals vs opponents when Brossoit has been in net, two of the higher scoring games, being at home.
Next up is Chicago Reg (+105) vs. The LA Kings. The LA Kings have been abysmal this year, and the Blackhawks finally snapped their eight game losing streak with a 1-0 win vs. the Blues last game. The LA Kings have been atrocious on the road, holding a 1-5 record, scoring only 9 goals on those 6 road games. The 9 road goals is a league low and losing Tanner Pearson does not help the LA Kings cause. This may be a odd spot to bet two games, both of them in regulation, but these are good spots for both teams. The Kings also are starting Peter Budaj in net, a goalie who got pulled vs. the Maple Leafs last outing, and is now heading on the road.
