What is up, everyone?? Once again, I apologize for my scarce presence lately on the Twitter.com, as well as my NBA DFS article duties as I have been very busy with work and personal situations as well. Either way, we have an 8-game slate for today and there’s plenty to like. Today’s article is just one high priced guard, one low priced guard, and same for the forward spot, so not really a core just a few I like tonight!
PG/G: DeAngelo Russell ($6,900)- Should definitely see a smidge of chalk today on DAR, but he’s been tearing it up lately. In his last 3 contests at home, he’s managed to eclipse 37 or more FPs, while carrying a very hefty 35.3 usage rate in those 3 as well. Memphis has struggled to guard the guard positions and are have allowed the 8th most FPs on avg to the G spot over their last 5.
PG/G: Antonio Blakeney ($3,200)- This is a pure flier play here, but I think it’s also a nice cheap pivot from the chalk Cam Payne tonight. Payne will see lots of mins, no doubt, but Blakeney has seen more mins in each of his last 4, going from 19 mins to 27 mins in his most recent contest. He also took 14 shots in his last game and hopefully is trying to find a groove. Bulls are going to be without both Lavine and Dunn tonight, so the G spot is wide open for the taking, and it’s been apparent that they are trying to get more work for Blakeney. At his price, he doesn’t have to do much for value and hopefully could be a potential 10x value tonight with what should be some added workload.
SF/PF/F: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,800)- Most will be taking LeBron tonight and I’m more than fine with taking the cheaper of the two here and the almost $1k in salary savings. Giannis has seen 51 or more FPs in 2 of his last 3 on the road, as well as a comfy 32.3 usage rate over that road span. Cavs are allowing the 9th most FPs on avg to the PF spot, and in 3 games vs the Cavs this season, Giannis is averaging 39.6 mpg, 31.5 usage rate, 33.7 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 6.3 apg, 1.6 spg, 1.3 bpg. I like his chances tonight in the highest total game on the board so far.
SF/PF/F: Jarrell Martin ($5,100)- Martin has seen lots of work lately, seeing an average of 31.2 mpg over his L5 contests, as well as a admirable 21.2 usage rate over that span also. His last 3 games have resulted in FP totals of 34.8, 24.5, and 30.5, so at least meeting value and exceeding it nicely in 2 of the 3. Also, Brooklyn is allowing the 4th most FPs on average to the F spot over their last 5.
