NHL DFS Stacks 1/30

The NHL is back after a short all-star break with a full 12 game slate Tuesday night. We are passed the halfway point with a little over 2 months left until the playoffs so expect the intensity on the ice crank up a few notches as the contenders start to separate from the pack. On today’s cheat sheet we will highlight 3 teams to stack that feature top priced super stars to build a winning lineup around.

Boston Bruins – Boston looks to continue a red-hot run towards a franchise record against the Anaheim Ducks in Boston tonight. The Bruins have earned at least a point in 18 straight games (14-0-4), tied for the second-longest streak in franchise history and 5 away from the club record set in the 1940 season. Center Patrice Bergeron ($7500) will be missing his long-time linemate Brad Marchand (suspension) tonight but that won’t slow Bergeron down. The center improved his point streak to 5 games in the last outing before the break, consisting of 4 goals and 5 assist. To stack along Bergeron I’m targeting winger David Pastrnak ($) with 7 points in his last 5 games and at a great value winger Danton Heinen ($4900) who will see more ice time due to the Marchand suspension. Heinen has 7 points in his last 10 games.

St. Louis Blues– The Blues rank third in the Central Division and are wrapping up a home stand Tuesday night vs. Montreal. Vladimir Tarasenko ($7400) can be the anchor in any lineup or format tonight. The Russian sniper has 4 goals in his last 6 contest and is taking on a Montreal Defense that ranks 27th on the road overall. Carter Hutton ($8200) is my goalie of the night, he went into the break with a (7-1-1) record over his last 9. The Habs have also struggled offensively on the road two averring 1.8 goals per game. Defensively for the Blues Alex Pietrangelo ($6600) has 6 points and is averring 3 shots in his last 10 contest.

Colorado Avalanche – The Avs hope to start another hot streak to kick off the second half of the season. Colorado has lost back to back contests after ripping off ten straight wins going into the break, but draw a favorable matchup against the Canucks tonight to get back on track. Nathan Mackinnon ($7400) has 6 goals in his last 10 games. Mackinnon’s play has raised the game of linemate Gabriel Landeskog ($6000) with 4 points in his last 6 along with 16 shots in his last 10 contest. A nice value play for the Avs is center Alexander Kerfoot ($3300) he scored against blues in his last outing to bring his season total to 12, the kid is having a strong rookie season with 11 of his 20 assists coming on the power play.
