It was another great night of Hockey last night we had the return of the Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron after missing the first few weeks due to an injury. Bergeron showcased just how vital he will be to Boston’s success this year during Thursday’s matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. He was as advertised in his season debut, recording four points, dominating at the faceoff dot and anchoring Boston’s special-team units in what was a 6-3 victory over Vancouver at TD Garden.
Tonight the NHL severs up a nice 6 game DFS slate for Friday night, here are two teams to stack in tonight’s action.
Winnipeg Jets – The Jets will be looking to begin another winning streak when the Minnesota Wild come to town on Friday. The Wild have been a solid play this year but come into this game down 4 key starters so I’m rolling with the Jets that posse the better scoring options and suppersingl a hot hand playing between the pipes. Net minder Connor Hellebuyck in three starts this season is a perfect 3-0, with a goals against of 2.11 and save percentage of .937. Offensively winger Nikolaj Ehlers ($6600) has a total of 7 points this season with an average of 4 shots on goal a game. Line mate Blake Wheeler (6300) is on a two game point streak.
Pittsburg Penguins – The Penguins take on the Panthers in Florida tonight, Pittsburgh won the first meeting this past weekend 4-3. Pittsburgh, 4-1-0 in their past five games, have a 10-game point streak against the Panthers. Sidney Crosby ($8100) has scored in three consecutive games, and has points in six of seven games this season. He has a four-game goal-scoring streak against the Panthers, with 7 goals in that span. Winger Phil Kessel ($6000) is riding a 3 game point streak with 5 shots on goal per game in that span. Defensively the super cheap Ian Cole ($3200) is coming of his best performance of the young season with 1 assist and 5 blocked shots.
