November 19th NHL Plays of the night

Season Record: 33-37-4 (-7.23u)

Tonight we have three plays on the slate today. A real small card, especially considering what has happened past couple of days. First play on the slate is Pens reg (-105), although the sbares are one of the hottest team right now. They stole a win vs. the wild on saturday, which was very impressive, but they head to Pittsburgh, where they have not beaten the Pens more than once in the last 10 outings. This is the sabres 3rd road game in as many days, and will square off against the Flyers next. The Penguins are abysmal, and have burned us plenty of times, but they hold a 9-0-1 record vs the Sabres. This stat and trend holds real good, considering, most of the core players are still on the Penguins roster and there is no large drop-off for them. I expect a big game from the Penguins, and will take them on the regulation, for slight juice of -105. Next we have one of my favourite bets on the season, the senators over 6 (-120). This may seem like a popular bet, but for the right reasons. The over 5.5 is 17-3 on the season for the Senators, and it hit once again on Saturday at home vs. the Penguins. The Senators TT is another great bet as it holds a 10-2 record at home this year. If we can confidently think that the Senators will score atleast 3 goals at home, that is half our total there considering we have the over 6. Finally, we have the Flames and Knights over 5.5 (-130). This kind of feels like a “Trap” line considering the flames home over 5.5 is 8-1 on the season at home. The last time it went under was against the Canadiens on November 15th, one of the games I remember hitting the over on. The Flames are coming off a big win against the Oilers, winning 4-2 and scoring 3 goals in the 3rd period. This is huge considering its a divisional rival and a provincial rival game, and will be booming playing against the Knights. The Knights on the other hand, are coming off a 6-3 win against the oilers, and head into Calgary as underdogs. This season, as underdogs, the knights are 1-4. It does seem like they have lost the “edge” from last year. But even if they did not, this is a good spot for goals but be warned, the line is too generous considering the trend of the home over 5.5 for the flames.
