November 8th NHL Plays of the Night

Season Record: 26-28-3 (-4.84u)

The Dallas Stars, finally return home off a 6 game road trip. One of the wild road trips I have seen. In their home games this season, the Stars, 6 pf the 7 home games, their TT went over 2.5. Coming home, after a road trip as long as the Stars were on, I think this is a good spot to take the ML here. The Senators square off against Vegas. The Sens come out firing against the Devils last game at home, putting up 7 goals, and it was a big win, especially after the “Uber Controversy”. I have said it before, and will say it again, that Senators TT Home over is $. This may be a spot for a little let down after scoring 7 against New Jersey, but the over 5.5 (-118) is a great bet here. Vs. the Western Conference the Senators over 6 is 4-1-1. As well, on the season, Ottawa has been one of the more popular over 5.5 teams, going 12-2 on the season. Carolina vs. Chicago, looks like a game with goals. Scott darling squares off vs. his old team the Blackhawks, who are without long-time Headcoach Quenneville. The Blackhawks enter this game with a new coach, and will look to come out for him. The Canes this season has been taking over 40 shots a game. The only thing that is not going for them is that, they are not putting it behind the net. Controlling the pace of the game this way, by having puck possession is a way that will win games in this era of hockey. As well, I think the Hurricanes will finally get the pucks going their way. Their TT is heavily juiced, and would not bet it at 2.5 (-188). But I do advise taking the Canes ML (-115). The Blackhawks are in shambles, especially after firing Quenneville. I expect the Canes to pick up the pieces and win.

  • Carolina Hurricanes ML (-115)
  • Ottawa Senators Over 5.5 (-118)
  • Dallas Stars ML (ev)
