Season Record: 12-14-2 (-4.05u)

Bobrovsky squares up against Pickard tonight. Smart decision by Philadelphia starting Pickard as Elliot looked like hot garbage, letting in goals after being up on the panthers. Bobrovsky last season had a 20-10-3 record last year at home with a GAA of 2.18. He is a vezina candidate, and vs. the Flyers last year, held a 2-1-1 record with a GAA of 1.96. Calvin Pickard on the other hand, is not a #1 goaltender, but holds a 2-0 record this year with a 3.78 GAA. The sample size is real small for Pickard. But today, we roll with Torts and take the Jackets reg (+110). Leafs vs. Penguins, this matchup has goals written all over it. Not even looking at goalie stats, when looking at both teams, you have the leafs who are the highest scoring team in the league (33 goals), and the highly talented Penguins with 17 goals. In the last 4 matchups, there have been 7/8/7/8 goals amongst these games. I expect the penguins to come out strong today after losing to the Canucks in OT. Take the over 6.5 (-125), and a little live advice, try to get that Pens TT Over 2.5 live at a better price than what it is at (It is currently -200). The next is a parlay, I hate betting parlays that are not at +$ but it is hard to pass up on this one (Jets/Lightning). Tampa Bay is on an 11-game winning streak vs. Detroit, and Winnipeg is 9-1 vs. Vancouver in the last 10 matchups. As well, I will reiterate, Winnipeg has a stellar home record, and we will back them at home tonight again. (Yes I know, I used this angle last time when it was vs. Oilers, but man that was a BAD beat).

  • Blue Jackets Reg (+110)
  • Leafs over 6.5 (-125)
  • Lightning/Jets ML Parlay (-115)
