Quick Bricks NBA DFS Cheat Sheet 1-8-18

Another nice 8-game NBA DFS slate that we are presented with on this Monday night. Hope you guys have enjoyed some of the products of my research over the last couple days, and if you have been with me all season, you already know! Either way, glad to have you, and let’s get right to this slate!

CP3 ($10,000)– There are a few high totals on the board tonight so far, and the HOU/CHI game is top 2 so far with a total at 221. This should be an up-tempo game. Bulls have been playing at a much faster pace over their last ten or so. Most will go with Curry here, and that’s fine, he’s been balling out, but I like CP3 and here is why. Since Harden’s injury, CP3 has been the main beneficiary, averaging 46.1 FPs, and 34.33 mpg over his last 3. This also equates to a pretty healthy 1.34 FFPM, which we know is pretty damn good in terms of FP/per min. Paul is already carrying a 23.3 usage%, 116.7 OFFRTG (highest on team), and a hefty 16.0 PIE, only second to Harden as well. It also helps that the Bulls are allowing the MOST FPs on average (27.9 FP marginal average), to the PG spot over their L5 games.

Jawun Evans ($4,100)– Going to take a shot in the dark here, as I’ve been seeing reports already that it looks as if Milos Teodosic will be sitting tonight, thus leaving the Clippers in a bit of a predicament again for the G spot with no Rivers or Milos. Evans was granted the start at PG in their last game, played 28 mins, scored 12 points, grabbed 4 boards, fished out 7 dimes, and added a steal for a fantasy output total of 29 FPs. Evans comes into the game already carrying a 19.6 usage rate in his small time on the floor, and it is also worthy to note that ATL is on a B2B, and they have also allowed the 4th most FPs on avg to the PG spot over their last 5. You will need value to fit studs tonight, he is a good look for starters.

Jimmy Buckets ($8,400)– You have a couple general rules so far this NBA season, don’t fade Russ on small slates (hell, almost any slate now), and secondly, fade the Cavs SG spot religiously. The Cavs are allowing the MOST FPs on average to the SG spot on both the season, as well as in their L5 games (31.0 FP marginal avg). So, this is the other highest total on the board coming in at 221.5 for CLE/MIN, so it wouldn’t hurt finding exposure in it. Butler carries the highest usage on the team at 24.7, second on the team in PIE at 14.8 (KAT at 15.8). Also, playing a whopping 37.2 mpg on average this season, avg 22.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 5.2 apg.

Justin Holiday ($5,000)– This is one guy that you really have to just find the best spots for, at usually he’s way better on his home floor. Once again, trying to stick to the highest total games on the board, Holiday is a very nice value at $5k tonight. Houston, without Harden, has allowed the 3rd most FPs on avg to the SG spot over their last 5. His usage is moderate at 18.3, but he is averaging 33.8 mpg (34.2 @ home), while also putting up 14.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 2.6 apg on his home floor. In his last 4 at home, he is averaging 32.1 FPs, on 38.25 mpg. He will likely see some Gordon on D, but when Gordon rolls to the PG spot, he will get Green, who comes in with a team worse 117.4 DEFRTG as well.

Andrew Wiggins ($6,000)– Going to catch hell for this one, but hear me out. 1) the total is through the roof for this game and let me add that Cavs are 4th worse in NBA in team DEFRTG, and the Wolves aren’t too far behind at 10th. Also, LBJ will be more worried about Butler tonight, and I think this bodes well for Wiggins, as the Cavs are also allowing the 2nd most FPs on avg to the SF spot on the season, and have allowed the 3rd most on avg over their L5. Wiggins carries a 23.5 usage rate (only 2nd behind Buckets), and a modest 111.1 OFFRTG (also 2nd behind Buckets). Not to mention, his last 2 home games resulted in 43.5 and 44.8 FPs!

E’Twaun Moore ($4,600)– strict value play, but will be needed on this slate to fit studs. Moore has played very well this season, even having to go along side Boogie/AD, he has still seen plenty of floor time and put up decent numbers. His usage is not great, but he still seems to find ways to exceed his value. In his last 4 home games, Moore has averaged 28.5 FPs, while playing a whopping 33.1 mpg. Also, at home he is averaging 13.6 ppg, 3.0 rpg, and 2.2apg. Let’s throw it out there that DET is allowing the 10th most FPs on average to the SF spot on the season and 8th most on average over their last 4. I like Moore as a nice value tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,900)– I know what you are saying, why not LBJ? Totally understand if you like LBJ tonight, but I’m rolling Giannis and this is why. In his one game vs IND earlier in the season, he put up 31 points, 10 boards. 5 assists, 1 steal and 2 swats, while carrying a massive 37.8 usage rate. In his last 5 road games, he is averaging 55.7 FPs, on 41.4 mpg. This is good for a monstrous 1.35 FFPM. His 31.4 usage% is the highest in the NBA, while he carries a 32.8 road usage on the season as well. His 20.1 PIE is the highest of any starter in the NBA, and it is worth noting that the Pacers are allowing the 5th most FPs on average to the PF spot on the season.

Trey Lyles ($5,700)– as long as his price stays down, I will keep using this nice plug-and-play with Lyles. In his L5 games, he has notched a 35.8 FP average, while averaging 29.6 mpg, good for a 1.21 FFPM as well. Also, he is sporting an admirable 20.3 usage, a whopping 120 OFFRTG, and a 14.1 PIE (2nd highest on team). GS is also allowing the 3rd most to the PF spot on average over their last 5 contests, and Dray is questionable to take the floor tonight.

Boogie Cousins ($10,700)– I hate having so many high-priced guys, and the value doesn’t look near as tasty tonight, but I feel like they are literally the best options. Cousins may not have to deal with Drummond tonight either. In Boogies last 8 home games, he is averaging 62.6 FPs on 36.9 mpg, good for a 1.7 FFPM! His 33.6 usage is tops in the NBA, and he also Sports a hefty 17.1 PIE. Detroit has also allowed the 10th most FPs on average to Cs over their last 5 games (most without Drummond).

Domantas Sabonis ($5,300)– This guy has been so sneaky good, and no one talks about jinx arguably could be the starting C imo, but Sabonis is getting good mins, playing a least 27 or more in his last 4. Averaging 24.5 mpg on the season, with a higher usage than Turner at 22.2% (only 2nd to Oladipo). In his home games, he is carrying a 22.7 usage, while avg 12.7 ppg, 8.1 rpg, and 1.9 apg. Two games ago, Sabonis put up 24 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assists, and 1 steal in 33 mins against this MIL team. Don’t forget, MIL just allowed Jonas Valanciunas to put up 41.3 FPs in 17 mins against them a few games ago also.

And that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed what I brought today, and can use it in your roster constructions tonight! GOOD LUCK! Win all the monies!
