Your shortened version of the Quick Bricks Pod awaits….
PG- Mario Chalmers ($5,300)– Here we get a great match-up both ways for the PG spot with both DEN and MEM tonight. DEN has been pretty bad against the PG spot lately, as they have allowed the MOST FPs to the PG slot on average over their last 5 contests. We know Chalmers has some upside as he has gone for 29 fantasy points or more in 4 of his last 5 games, as well as a 40 FP performance in that mix.
SG- Jrue Holiday ($6,500)– Show me another DFS player/Tout that will have Jrue Holiday’s face on the cover of their Pod/Article tonight. I’ll wait…but if they did their homework they would see what I saw. Suns have been getting absolutely field-dayed against the SG spot over their last 5 games on average. Also, to add more context to that, they have allowed 30.9 MORE FP’s to the SG spot on avg over their last 5, compared to their average against on the whole season. Play him.
SF- Tobias Harris ($6,500)– Another option in a great spot on paper, that will almost certainly go under-looked on tonight’s slate. As absurd as it sounds, the Thunder have allowed the MOST FP’s to the PF spot over their last 5 contests on average, and at a clip of 14.5 more FPs on average than their season average. We know Tobias can be an offensive juggernaut at times, so couple that with some low-ownership and you could have a home run.
PF- Pascal Siakam ($3,800)– Felt I needed to include this lovey value play for tonight’s slate. The 27th overall pick in last years draft has come on very strong as of late, and for that reason he is eating into starter mins as he has played 29 or more in his last 3 games. Pacers have been bad against the C spot lately and on the season, allowing the 6th most FPs on avg over their last 5 as well. Siakam has accrued 24 or more fantasy points over his last 3 games as well in his added role, so I wouldn’t sleep on the value here with the major salary relief it brings.
C- Hassan Whiteside ($8,500)– This is a must play on tonight’s slate though, even if it is just one lineup. Too good of a match up lies here, and Hassan has been masterful so far on the road this season. His FP totals on the road include: 48, 43, 44, 47, 11.5, 54, and 59. Other than his small blip at Golden State with the 11.5 FP out-put, these road performances, parlayed with the fact that MIN is allowing the 9th most FPs to opposing C’s on avg over their last 5 games, makes Whiteside a VERY attractive roster selection tonight.
G- Mudiay ($4,200)/Murray ($5,200)– Yes, I am putting both because I believe this is the same type of play as playing Kamara/Ingram for the Saints in NFL. These guys are splitting time basically down to a “T.” They are both seeing 24-25 mins a game, and both have tremendous upside. I mentioned Mudiay first due to the fact he’s a grand cheaper, and has put up 34 or more FPs in his last 2 of 3 in DEN. Murray has also show his flashes of upside as he has went for 40 and 41 FPs in his last 2 contests in DEN. We can add that we know MEM has been bad defending the PG spot with no Conley, and it shows as they are allowing the MOST FPs to the PG spot over their last ten games on average, as well as 3rd MOST on avg over their last 5 contests.
F- Thad Young ($6,000)– Been using Thad quite a bit this season so far and I don’t feel like stopping anytime soon. Raps have not been defending the spot very well this season, including allowing the 2nd MOST FPs to the PF on avg over their last 5 games. It is also very noteworthy that Thad has gone for over 30 FPs in his last 3 at home as well.
UTIL- Dwight Howard ($7,000)– Price isn’t going to change and this guy has been murdering his value at the current price point. CLE has been allowing the 4th MOST FPs over the last 5 on average going with their small-ball Lu with Love at C. Howard should eat again tonight down low, and not to mention he had amassed 44 or more FPs in his last 3 contests. Also, two of those 3 went over 50 fantasy points.
There you have it, Degen Nation on-the-go! I hope you enjoyed and can use these selections to your advantage on tonight’s NBA DFS slate! GOOD LUCK!
