Whew, already the 4th of December, Good people! Days are flying by and we are a decent ways into the NBA season! Due to not having a good voice without my mouth hurting cuz of the surgery, will be doing cheat sheets for maybe a week or more. Anyways, here’s where I’m looking tonight!
PG: Rajon Rondo ($5,000)– Haven’t seen him play back in New Orleans since the injury to AD, but his last two games of production have been way too good to over-look at his price. Even if the regressing monster snatches up a smidge of his production, at $5k and no AD you can’t afford not to play him tonight. With 38.5 and 40.5 FPs in his last two, I believe a Rondo/Boogie combo will have your LUs Boogieing right up the rankings tonight.
SG: Justin Holiday ($5,600)– I can’t help but play Holiday at home tonight in a spot that we all know I fade consistently! Cavs against a SG is an auto fade and I plan on using it again tonight. If we remember correctly, Holiday torched CLE for 25 points, 4 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, and a swat in their first meeting early in the season. For a guy averaging 34.7 FPs in home games this season, I’ll take my chances on a cheap Holiday tonight.
SF: Evan Fournier ($5,500)– Keeping the cheap trend going as I am paying up for my bigs tonight, and just think there is too much value at the G spot tonight, so Fournier gets another good match up tonight while hosting CHA. Fournier has come back to life a bit over his last two, going for 33.8 and 35.3 FPs in those two contests. I’ve been waiting for him to come relevant again, and just hoping I’m not buying in too late, but the matchup is there as CHA is allowing the 2nd most FPs to the SF spot on average on the season, as well as the 2nd most FPs on average over their last 5 games.
PF: Lamarcus Aldridge ($8,300)– I think LMA will once again go under-looked on a night that features, LBJ, Love, and Giannis at the F position. After getting a rest night last night, LMA should be primed and ready for a 35 min game if need be, and since the Spurs could be without the services of both Kyle Anderson and Rudy Gay, look for Aldridge’s usage to once again carry the massive load for San Antonio. The matchup isn’t the greatest, but when comparing his usage and the injuries around him, I think it’s a magnificent spot for LMA.
C: Boogie Cousins ($11,000)– Now you see why I am paying down for value guards and paying up for LMA and Cousins. Once again, no AD will thrust Cousins into a feature role and with the way Rondo has been playing lately, can only imagine that those two in a combo will put up huge numbers versus the Warriors at home tonight. Cousins should see 35 mins or more as well no matter what happens in this game, and look for a monster line, high ownership or not, I could give two hairy swinging dicks less, I’m playing him.
G: Marco Belinelli ($4,400)– With all of the injuries to the Hawks lately, someone has stepped up and been very consistent, especially on their home floor. That has been Marco Belinelli. Super cheap price, very nice match up as the Nets are allowing the 4th most FPs on average to the 2-guard spot over the span of the season. Also, Belinelli has notched double-digit scoring in all but 2 home games this season, and has accrued 29 or more FPs in 3 of his last 4 contests on the Hawk’s home floor.
F: Gorgui Dieng ($3,600)– To make this LU work, I have to take a shot somewhere, and I really like this spot here. Dieng was the main beneficiary of Taj Gibson’s B2B mins in their last set, playing a whopping 37 minutes in route to 41.5 FPs against the Pelicans in New Orleans after Taj played 41 mins the night before in Washington against the Wiz. Gibson played 38 minutes last night at home as the Wolves hosted the Clippers and travel to Memphis tonight to take on the Grizz. I feel pretty confident once again the Dieng should see upwards of 26+ minutes and although it’s a tough match up in Memphis, you have to like the potential in the situation, as well as the price.
UTIL: Andrew Wiggins ($6,500)– Although, I’m playing Dieng merely due to Taj’s minutes and the situational play there, it doesn’t seem to be the case for the younger, youthful Wiggins. Wiggins still saw 36 or more minutes in both B2B sets here recently, so I highly doubt, unless this game gets out of hand for some reason (wolves demolished the Pelicans on the 2nd game on the road of their last B2B set btw, Wiggins will see a kind decrease. After an awful shooting night last night going 4-15 vs the Clipp, I’m going to look for a bounce-back here tonight in Memphis as they are allowing the 7th most FPs on average to the SF spot over their last 5 games.
There you guys have it! There are tons more I like of course on this big 11 game slate, but this was the first LU I built, and the “DFS Pros” always say the first LU you build is usually the “most optimal,” so this is def a LU I am playing tonight. GL! Use it or lose it, either way, I like what I see!
