Scott Takes: 3/6 NBA Fantasy Draft Plays

What’s up Degens? I’ve been off for a few days but now I am back for another edition of Scott Takes. I have personally been on a cold streak. Tonight is a get right night, however. We have an 8 game slate that locks at 6 pm CST. I am really excited about this.

Stud Standings

  1. Anthony Davis $21,300 – How can you pass up AD as your stud in a matchup with a 237 vegas total?
  2. James Harden $21,100 – No Roberson defense means he should feast.
  3. Russell Westbrook $22,100 – Just because he is ranked third does not mean he doesn’t have an outstanding chance to go off, I just prefer the small savings of the others.

Ben Simmons and Jrue Holiday just missed the cut for the write up. Both are unpriced and Holiday draws the better matchup of the two. If you end up with around 15k both are great options.

Chris Paul $14,400 – The price is right for Chris Paul. He has struggled his past 2 games but this is a matchup he should get going. Russ isn’t easy but Paul normally steps up in situations like this. He has at least 49 FP in 4 of the last 6 with Westbrook.

Kemba Walker $13,800 – Ben Simmons is a good defender but Kemba is just underpriced. When seeing 30+ minutes, he hasn’t been below 30 FP over his last 20 games. He is averaging 39.7 @ home and just recently put up 43.3 against PHI.

Lou Williams $13,400 – NOP is allowing the 3rd most FP as a team over their last 4. Now Lou gets a matchup with them and 237 total. He only has one game below 30 in his last 20 games and is averaging 35.2 FP at home.

Gary Harris $12,700 GPP – Harris has been torching DAL this year with 2 of his 3 games being 40+ FP. Dallas is 6th worst vs SG over the last 4 and he has scored 33.75 or more in 5 of his last 6 games. I don’t expect high ownership.

The best F/C for today is obviously AD. However, if you can’t afford him I would recommend Embiid and Paul George. Embiid recently put up 53.8 FP in 31.8 minutes against CHA and got Dwight Howard in foul trouble. He is only $17,300 which is a nice price. Paul George is $15,400 and is going to be in a highly competitive matchup. If Melo sits, he sees a massive boost and I would like him even more.

Tobias Harris $12,900: He has been awesome since joining LAC. In one game against NOP, he put up 42.8 in 38.2 minutes. He is averaging 34.2 at home since coming to LA and with the injuries he is seeing a 28.1% usage and 1.21 FPPM.

Steven Adams $12,400: I pretty much only play our friend Steven Adams when he is at home. He averages 6 more FPPG at home. Houston has been 6th worst vs C over the last 4 weeks and he put up 38.5 against HOU last time out.

Clint Capela $12,200: OKC is the best in the league vs C over the last 4 weeks. Okay, but hear me out. Price determines our choices in DFS. Capela is cheap and put up 38 FP in 29.4 minutes against OKC earlier this year. He is now regularly seeing minutes in the 30s and is averaging 34.4 FP in 26.6 minutes on the road. Even if he only goes for 30, we have good value.

Thrift Shop

Milos Teodosic $9,100: Milos has seen 26 minutes or more in his last 4 games. He is again in the best game of the night and gets a soft matchup. He is my favorite value by far.

Other than him, I don’t trust much value. VanVleet, Harrell, and Kyle O’Quinn are all okay but I don’t like them in cash.

That’s all I have for tonight guys, best of luck!
