Scott Takes: NBA Fantasy Draft Picks 2/7

What’s up guys, I’m back here for tonight’s 6 game NBA slate on Fantasy Draft. I don’t love this slate to be honest, so it should be interesting to see how it shakes out. In my mind, if you’re paying all the way up the man to go to is Anthony Davis. He devoured the Pacers for 69 FP last time and has no Cousins now. He is far superior to Lebron and Harden tonight in my opinion.

Victor Oladipo $16,100: Without Collison, he sees a 36% usage rate and 1.29 FPPM. New Orleans is 5th worst vs SG over their last 4 weeks. He is also averaging 42.6 FPPG on the road which gives us a nice floor.

Jrue Holiday $13,700: I don’t care that the Pacers are 9th best vs SG. His price is too low. He is averaging 36.3 FPPG at home and his worst score in his last 10 is 32 FP. The game total is the 2nd highest on the slate and features the lowest spread. He will be relied upon heavily as usual.

Ish Smith $11,100: I currently do not have him on my main cash lineup. However, BKN is bad vs PG and he is averaging 24.8 FPPG in 25.2 minutes at home this year. Now he is seeing 30+ pretty consistently so I think he brings a nice safe floor.

Jeff Teague GPP $12,500: Pretty much my argument here is that CLE has been getting torched by everyone. They are 3rd worst vs PG and Teague is averaging 30 on the road. Everyone will be on Butler so I think he has some big upside in this matchup at a lower ownership. I never feel comfortable rostering Teague so he is far from a lock.

Andre Drummond/Blake Griffin $18,300, $16,300: There is a reason both of these guys are on the cover. Right now, Drummond hasn’t fit my cash build but it is scary. He is in an unbelievable spot and should absolutely eat up Brooklyn. Griffin is in my lineup. In 3 games at home with DET, he is averaging 43.3 FP. His worst score in his last 10 is 36. He is so safe tonight. I love both of these guys.

Jimmy Butler $17,300: CHAAALK. In 27.2 minutes vs CLE earlier this year, he put up 51.5 FP. Cleveland is 7th worst vs the SG as well. He is in such a good spot I looked for reasons against him. The only thing was he is averaging 5 less points on the road. However, last year vs CLE he averaged 19 points 7 assists and 7 boards in 4 games. He is a great play.

LaMarcus Aldridge $15,700: I think he will be overlooked tonight and I love him. He is averaging 39.7 FPPG on the road and the Suns are 2nd worst vs PF. We know he has big usage without Leonard and Gay and he is nearly a lock for 40 tonight barring injury.

Nikola Mirotic $12,300: He nearly killed us the other night. However, he has played 33 and 35 minutes with the Pelicans. He put up 27.3 FP in 25 minutes against IND earlier this year, so if he plays in that 33-35 range tonight he should easily payoff that salary.

Taj Gibson $10,200: Cleveland is a giving up points by the boatload. In 31.3 minutes vs CLE earlier this year, Taj put up 37.3 FP. He only scored less than 20 twice in his last 10 and has been over 30 3 times. He gives us a nice floor and should play a ton of minutes as usual against this bad defense.

Stanley Johnson $9,000: Probably the safest value available tonight in my opinion. He is played between 33-40 minutes in his last 4 games scoring at least 22 in them. He is averaging 0.72 FPPM and if he sees the same allotment of minutes he should be right in the 20’s again.

Joe Young $6,300: As we know, NOP struggle vs guards. With Collison out last game, Young saw 27 minutes and had 24 FP. I wouldn’t say we can expect another 20 point game but he always does at least something with Collison out.

I don’t want any part of the Suns vs the Spurs tonight so I’m avoiding that all together. The only other interesting situation for me would be if Ryan Anderson sat, I think A Moute and Tucker are worth a look.

That is all I have for you tonight guys, best of luck!
