Two Play Mini-Card October 24th

Season Record: 18-19-2 (-2.54u)

Toronto vs. Winnipeg has become one of the most popular matchups between the two canadian teams. A new rivalry has emerged as Maurice has been bashing the Leafs ever since he left the team as Head Coach. As well, the Matthews vs. Laine debacle. In this game, we are taking one bet, over 6.5. The Leafs are on their first losing streak, after losing two straight games at home and now head to the road with three-days rest. This is alot of time for a team to work on any mistakes they found in their past couple games and correct it. When on the road, the Leafs have scored plenty of goals, averaging 5.67 goals, although the number is skewed because of two games where they scored 7 goals, the numbers illustrate that the Leafs can score on the road. Winnipeg on the other hand have emerged as a dominant home team, this year they hold a 5-0-1 record at home, scoring 3.67 goals per game. When the two teams matchup, the over 5.5 has hit 11/12 games. The Jets are playing their 6th home game in a row, scoring an average of 4.2 goals per game. Here I see the Leafs try to come out of their mini-slump, and the Jets to come out firing. The second bet of the day is Vegas -1.5. Vegas has not entirely been the same team they have been last season. Defensively they need some work to get back to the dominant force they were last year, but they are improving. After their first game giving up 5 goals to the high-flying Flyers, they have only given up 2 goals in 2 games. Vancouver on the other hand have not been able to solve the Golden Knights. They hold a 0-5 record vs. the Golden Knights, losing by atleast 2 goals. Fleury holds a 8-0 record vs the Canucks throughout his career.

  • Leafs Over 6.5 (-115)
  • Golden Knights -1.5 (+105)
